Good Government Files tells the stories of government that works. That is, government that succeeds at solving real problems. I want to shine a light on how that happens. What are the elements of successful governing? The goal is to learn and share what works, and hopefully inspire more of it.
The focus is mostly on local government, because that's what I know, having spent nearly 24 years as a communicator for one of the fastest-growing and best run cities in the United States. Expect some commentary on state and federal government, because I need a good foil every now and then and lord knows they offer plenty of examples of how not to do it. Think I'm wrong about that?
